We went here for a family get together. The place was lovely, the rooms huge and well furnished. The food was very good and the staff were lovely. We couldn't open the 'sash' window and called down to reception. Someone came up immediately and openef it. It looks like a sash window but isn't. Would be a good idea to have instructions in room! Lovely comfortable bar and good prices. Will definitely go again.

Wow a beautiful place !! Attended a meeting here . The gardens have wonderful Trees and Lawns. Saw squirrels and Rabbits playing happily on our arrival. The excellent meeting room must also be used for party's and weddings (fabulous pair of chairs in the room) Coffee and pastries then a lovely Lunch served by friendly staff. A very enjoyable visit .
We stayed 2 nights at Farington lodge as we were apart of a wedding party on Saturday. Check in was quick and efficient. The room we stayed in was an executive room and we were very pleased with the size and layout of our room. Everywhere was clean and tidy. The shower was very very hot (on the coldest setting) so had to resort to using the bath instead. On the Friday evening the staff was very accommodating and we enjoyed drinks in the guest bar. The first morning breakfast wasn't the best as when we were seated the coffee had to be returned as it was brought out cold, other tables had the same experience. When we ordered the food it took 30min and the quality wasn't great. The bacon was very tough, no beans. Again other tables experienced this.Throughout the wedding ceremony through to the wedding breakfast and evening entertainment the venue was fantastic. Again the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The food was delicious and service was fantastic. The final morning we were all served breakfast as a wedding party in a function room. This breakfast was perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Farington and I would recommend as a wedding venue but also as a normal guest.
